Description
Here is a section of the Great Wall near Beijing that has not been restored. This is my first experiment with HDR (high dynamic range) photography--tone mapping with multiple exposures. It seems to work :-)

It sure does - even if I don't understand the process (I guess they don't have it on my point and shoot:) Great perspective and a wonderful capture.

Fantastic detail and colors!! Yes HDR is also known as bracketing, and even works well with film. Kudos for a great photo in a great location!

Beautiful natural framing. Old ruins like these always create such a beautiful scene and emotion. Happy Valentines Day! :-)

I must tell you that you are wrong when you say that it "seems" to work... because it most certainly does! This image is so clear, flawless and has such a strong sense of reality. The rocks and stones are so beautiful in layout and position, and it is taken at such an angle that one feels to ascend and venture out into the nature in what lies beyond.... a truly magnificent photograph in all respects! If this is your first "experiment", I'd fear to see what your next one is like...... lol :)

I might have cropped differently...but, my first thought was how did this shot get the dynamic range..exposure looks fine on all ends from foreground to the distant wall. Now I know..hdr. Yes, it did work and you made it work quite well.
