Description

Its snowing here yet again and now the ground is horribly soggy, so I'm glad I took these shots when I did. This is the same place as my last few uploads. I, personally, love the reflection in the water, and my sister calls the tree to the right "The Perfect Tree". I hope you like this as much as I do [and thanx to kjpweb for the help] Comments always appriciated :-) ~~ Lashia ~~

Reminds me of places I used to play as a kid... I used to love "grey days" like this... There just aren't enough 'perfect trees' around...

Wonderful shot! Reminds me of home (northern Michigan) which I miss terribly, especially this time of year. :o) The tree has a wonderful texture to it.

Wonderful image..the foggy look of parts of it blend perfectly. Yes, could be a mood hole in the chest...could be just lovely and all is fine.

The reflections and the composition with the flanking tree is very good. kjpweb added a pleasant mix to the excellent people material found on RR, ever so helpful.

Nice shot, you caught a lot of detail under the water as well as on top while still retaining strong reflections. This reminds me of a park near to where I grew up, it flooded out every spring and the poor old trees all looked rather a lot like the one you have here.

It snowed where I am too today. I'm getting very tired of winter. The perfect tree? I agree! And you're right, the reflections are fantastic! Nice pic!

Your narrow range of focus in such an open space enhances the moodiness. Good job!!!

I can see why you took this. The light with reflections worked nicely. Those little tufts of grass coming up are a real feature for this one.

I love the fact the tree seems suspended on a thin icy mirror of water. A moody atmospheric photo - congratulations :-)

I get the feeling of being isolated, alone and lost when I look at this. A good photo brings out "feelings." Good shot.

Such an awesome, isolated, melancholic and yet beautiful image. The desaturated colours are terrific, and the reflection in the water, combined with the awesome DOF really sell this image. Awesome work hunny. I love you !
