Ultrafractal 4.03 Happy Valentine's Day, y'all! Over the course of each year, I save whatever heart shaped fractals I happen across in my explorations and then use them to make the next year's Valentine's card for my wife, Joie (Joanne), So here's what I was able to put together for this year. Actually, the string of hearts thingie came from the base layer of my "Bedrock" pic when I was looking to see what else I might do with that layer. "Well, it's sho-nuff purty dadgum LATE in the day to be FINALLY sending a card, boy" Ya better have a REASON and not just an "excuse! - Hope you weren't as late with the flowers and stuff fer yer wife!" Nope, I was a good boy this year and the flowers got ordered last week and I had 3, count 'em 3, cards all ready for the big day well in advance, thankyewverymuch! Actually, we went to Walgreens after work and the place was packed with furtive looking guys milling nervously around the Hallmark aisle. I did that one year and it was quite enough. So what I did was bought like 6 or 8 of the best cards year b4 last and just keep them tucked away, "just in case". Came in handy this year because I've been tied up rebuilding the brake system on my truck since last Friday (rained a couple days) and have been car-pooling to work with Joie - which precluded any chance to sneak off to buy cards. Pretty slick, eh? lol I'd better shut up and upload this b4 it becomes 2morrow! lol Thanks for stopping by! I hope this doesn't get looked at much until 2morrow because that'd mean most of you are spending some nice romantic times with your spousal units :-) boyfriend/girlfriend or, in the case of some of us who are missing loved ones this year, remembering with a warm smile some wonderful V'days in the past. As the Beatles said - "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make...." Rick

I always look forward to your cards... and the Valentine's day cards are the most fun because you make them for Joie, with love. Nice going with the buying ahead of the paper card, Buddy. You get gold stars for (a) remembering to do it, and (b) remembering where you squirreled them away! I was in Hallmark day before yesterday and the men were indeed running around like Eagle Eye Fleegle! Nobody wanted to be seen getting the "mushy" stuff LOL, except one impeccably dressed young man who insisted on buying every stuffed bear Hallmark had to offer, and nothing was too good for his girl. I wished I could see her face:) Warm hugs to you and Joie, and to all the others out there this day!

not only your card was a lovely real Valentine card .. with that I mean is what men are looking for the last minute in the Halmark isle of any department store.. I always wondered why men are so much more nervous about having a card and not forget days like Valentine.. I am married 52 years and never did get a card or anything at valentine day but get tokens of apreciations during the whole year.. which I always thought were more spontanious.. But each his own.. but I enjoyed your post script on your picture.. It was so very funny...You have a lovely sense of humor besides being a great fractal artist..

Harps 'nd flutes, so music everywhere - but the Beatles? Why not, their songs survive very well. Shouldn't you have been in Hallmark's buying next year's. Now that would be proper madness - queuing at crush time!

Ah! I guess I should have read this one sooner! I always enjoy the cards you make so much! You don't even need to buy me any, because the ones you make are much more special! This one was beautiful (as they all are) and I truly appreciate and love you! Love, Joie :^)
