Description

I thought mix things up a bit again :) This is part of my packing material series, and a true protest piece lol. This goes out to our friend Mark Spooner here, as he posted real blue bubbles a few weeks ago . This is not a photograph, but a flatbed scan. Can anyone guess how I got the water effects without postwork? he he :) All the best! Kurt

The bubble wrap was on its side on a scanner, but thats not what created the effect:) Kurt

Hmmm. Looks like maybe you left the lid up, held the bubble wrap still, then moved it, then held it still, then moved it, as the scanner was doing it's scanning thing? (I don't actually know anything about scanners, but am willing to guess anyway!) :)

Gosh, I don't have a clue how you got that effect but it sure looks great. You really come up with innovate images. CC

lol .. We have a winner! auntiek, Thats exactly what I did ... I really felt that no one would guess this technique. And from someone not familiar with scanners, truly amazing! Off the shelf flatbed scanners are slow, and I discovered this by total accident. :) (They use a single light source that moves to do a capture) When I saw my first "accident", I then moved the Bubble Wrap during certain areas of this scan. I wanted to be the one to guess, but it's too late... ;) It's a technique I already used, that's why. Very cool pic !
