Re the blurred near animal; sorry to be rude, but I see little point in purposely imitating the defects of real photographic equipment. Apart from that, a good image.

I agree with ApexB, lose the foreground animal, way too distracting. Great textures.

Okay, OKAY. i get the piont. It was actualy ment to focus more on the other dino's, so it wouldn't be so monotonous. really, when i look at it i don't even notice the blurred dino. I mostley use the blur to create somekind of a picture frame.

Absolutely incredible work! the integration from rendered to real is well done. no conflicting shades or shadows either. the animal closest to the camera has way too much blur though, it makes it seem as if the whole scene were scaled down.

Agree with aapasuo, What makes us differenciate 3d pic from photo is lack of "Blur" or "depth of field" effect! Stunning Image by the way, Love those textures...

The blurring is a bit extensive but I disagree with Anthony on the reasons of imitating real imagery. If blurring is althogether disregarded, images made with computers seem too crisp and unreal. It is also the human eye that behaves like this. I consider it simple physics not a defect. If done properly, blurring is also a great way of focusing the viewers attencion on the focused objects.

Whoa! Nice textures there, Spielberg (or maybe Stan Winston. :-) A very successful photo composite. Took me awhile to figure out how you did the "baby". Clever. Animators have been deliberately using blur effects since before computers, but the motion blur somehow looks more like a "depth of field" effect. The eyes are very lifelike.

Fantastic "photo"! What more can I say? Yes, one thing- I'd love to add those meshes and texture maps to my dino collection. T.Rex is kind of lonely! Can't get better than this!
