Description

This is my very first abstract of this Fentress designed building that I completed the very first week when I moved back to Denver 2 1/2 years ago. At the time, I was still Film based, and this was shot with a Canon AE-1 (35 MM). The abstract background is based on multiple buildings from the 16th Street Mall. What is funny, I was kicked off of this property by Security that day. Last year, I approached the owners of this building, armed with many pics. I now am the first photographer in nearly 10 years that has full access to this Building, and their properties :) So, this was my first, tomorrow I shall upload my most recent with the Canon Digital. (Not an abstract, but a pure photo, shot from their property) Woo woo! It also helped that I offered 3 free large format prints as a gift:) All the best! Kurt

Its good they let you back. I want to do that kind of work but im afraid i would get kicked out. The first day I had my Canon, I went to the mall and was quickly asked to not take any pictures. This is wonderful work!! I live for a shot like this!!

Great story behind the image & looking forward to the digital view. Just shows persistence & hard work (and a bit of cheek!) pays off in the end!!

I was waiting outside of a hospital to pick someone up and I saw threatening clouds that looked like a good subject and I started shooting them. I heard a car pull up and it was the hospital police.he asked me what I was taking pictures of and I motioned at the sky.is there something wrong with taking pictures of the sky? well I thought you was taking pictures of the building and they do not like it. why would I want pictures of the building when anyone can see it on Google earth?I understand the threat of terrorism but some people take things too far. excellent abstract you have made

Someone would be a fool to say "No" to you when you can provide such great promotion of the properties. You certainly have learned great public relations that help as well. This is breathtaking! And another favorite. Hugs, x:)

I love this building. I think I remember -- and that appears to be borne out by your comments -- another version of this image. The window reflections ring a bell. If so, I loved it then. And I love it now. Excellent POV, composition. Just a terrific capture all around.
