Description
Tinted Sepia-tone, c.a. 1897, of some of the girls at the notorious Mirenburg brothel, most famously brought to life in Count von Bek's "The Brothel in Rosenstrasse", edited by Michael Moorcock.

Very nice and different. bringing up the story of 1800 hundreds german brothels too. Never thought they had cat people at that time though :)

Thanks Sparkles. I did an original, textureless render using the P4 engine to get the shadow, then composited about six partial renders (by making various figures invisible). To get the tinted sepia effect, I used two layers, the top was the orignal colored composite with about a 20% opacity, the bottom had the Paint-Shop pro "sepia tone" photo action applied to it. The white border started out as a simple fill with an oval taken out, and then I used the eraser brush to fade the edge. Finally, I lightened the whole image and reduced the contrast to make it look even more faded.

One could easily be fooled into thinking that this was real Antique Photograph, say from the 1860's on. Good work all around, I really do like this.
