Another band on the rainbow by NothingNess

Three times I rode the bay To rope time and beg it to Stop and allow us to play Hand in hand we galloped High into the clouds we rode Riding fast and trying hard To outrun hands on the clock The bay reared his head and buckled Powerful muscles spurred me on Faster, climbing higher I catch my baby's scent in the air Our sweat combines-singes my skin electric Baby, I'm going to float far away Where your hands cannot reach Do not try to stop me Come! Let me take you there My name tore from your lips Barely a whisper Just a sweet sweet sigh For a few seconds it seems That we made time be still As we arched/angled toward the earth We've come to the end Of another band on our rainbow If I hold my breath And not breathe even one time Until the next hue begins Would you my love? Would you understand why?
Thank you for my wings. You know I'd walk a thousand years to just be near you.

What a wonderfully driving rhythm - so appropriate for the poem. And tenderness that no-one could fail to be moved by ... certainly not me. Mike
