Description

For Theo May 1999 to Feb 18, 2007 You were found with 3 other litter mates. Abandoned by your mother on a university campus. I saw you as a small ball of fur and immedidately fell in love with you, I called you my Unplanned Adoption. Your eyes started out as blue and I hoped they would not change to that typical black cat spooky orange. I am glad they turned green and is one of my favorite colors because of the color of your eyes. I almost named your Harley because you purred loudly and sounded like the bike. But Theodore came to mind and it fit you perfectly. I became your surrogate mother, you followed me everywhere I went, you liked to hide out in my clothes drawers, a habit you still had whenever I opened one to get something out, you had to jump in and inspect. You were content to curl up against me while I mess with the computer. Your weight would make my arm fall asleep each and every time, I think it was the only time of the day you were fully relaxed. You were my shadow, you sang to your own reflection in the bathroom mirror and then act all shy when I caught you. At times I thought you were saying Hello or Mom when I came home. If I came home late, you would peer at me from between the curtains the moment my car pulled in the drive way. Your favorite toy was the little mice with feathers on their rumps. But you would give those up for five minutes with the 'whippy toy' I never seemed to play with you with because I thought it was a hassel to stand there swinging a fishing pole-rope toy with little strands of leather at the end. And now I deeply regret it because it used to bring you so much joy. You were the a-typical scaredy cat, you found refuge under my bed whenever the door bell would ring. You were always skittish, jumping at any sudden movement or sound, and I told you everytime that one day that would be the death of you and I was finally right. You had many nicknames, some of my favorites were Handsome Fella, Theodore Von Kittykat, Rest in peace my lovely "Monkey-Boy", your buddy Tangy and I miss you oh so much! You touched my heart deeply and you left me so quickly that I didn't get a chance to say goodbye or say I love you. A nickname I gave to him because he would make a sound similar to that of a spider monkey. I am sorry to have rattled on.
