Description

Okay, it's finished (well, you know what I mean... I'm sure there will be something I will tweak in the future). I've rendered it with a basic mental ray material to show detail as much as possible. This is the material I use for modellig, as it shows up dodgy polys quite well. I've just gotten myself some web hosting, so will be letting you guys download the mesh for FREE once I've made a start on the site. It will be at www.chaosimagery.co.uk (at the moment, the domain is directed to my fiction blog. I will rectify that as soon as the hosting has gone through - bookmark it). I'll be interested in what other people do with it, so if any of you do, please message me so I can have a gander at your scene. Thanks again to everyone who took the time to comment and message. maybe some architectural modelling next, or perhaps a motorcycle... Watch this space.

The model (mesh) is now available free at http://www.chaosimagery.co.uk/models/scifi/eventhorizon.html I am currently using free hosting, but the bandwidth is only 100MBs, so I need 32 ($65 approx) to upgrade to a better package. Unfortunately, I can't afford it, so any donations will be gratefully received!

Superb model, though I never understood why this ship needed that super long central corridor...

I think that was so they could blow it up and to make it more spookie. let's face it, they didn't need whacking great big air intakes for a deep space research ship, either. Thanks for the comment, Chimera46
