Description

A long time ago I painted in oils and acrylics. This was both messy and expensive as I liked to paint big with a pallet knife! Then Today I uploaded a prog called ArtRage2, One of its features is to spread digital paint around the screen with a pallet knife. Yippee!!! No mess and an un-limited supply of free paint!! This image is my first attempt. It's a bit fiddley with a mouse, but Boy was it FUN!!! Hope you enjoy :)

Awesome image Steve! I had a limited version of that program but since I'm not a real artist and can't draw, it was not pretty! LOL!! You are so talented and this looks genuinely real. Suze

Oh yes, cool art work Steve!!! I have messed a bit with the free ArtRage 1, I thought 2 is "pay 'em" ware, and as a really good friend of mine always says, "if it ain't free, I can not afford it!". Artrage seems a lot like finger painting to me and is really great the way it blends, mixes, and layers colors much like real physical paint. You have done better than my efforts, that is for sure!

Wow Steve! Awesome work!!!!!! I actually thought this was done with real oil on a canvas. Had I not read all the way down I would not have guessed it was created in that program. I like oil and watercolor painting, but the time and mess kept my brushes in the box. Also, I love having an UNDO button, lol. :o)))

I know some fine art professors who would stone the creator of such software. "True art comes from spending your breakfast/lunch/supper money on paints that will eventually give you lead poisoning", they would say. But I think this is a lovely piece especially for a first attempt. More please.
