We saw our first real bird today, outside the kitchen window; a very pretty white, gray, and taupe dove. It looked cold; it's feathers were all puffed up as it sat on the ledge of the deck. We wanted to feed it but were afraid we'd just scare it away if we opened the door.
It hasn't stopped snowing here since the middle of December. Hopefully, the dove knows something we don't, and is here to announce the coming of sunshine and Spring.

Well, if it's been snowing where you are since the middle of December, then I finally found out where our winter has been hiding. It came to visit us very early in October for a day, and left just as abruptly as it came. It finally came back a couple of weeks ago with a vengeance, but now there's a thaw again. I'm sorry you are getting our winter along with yours, I've missed the snow. Your image almost makes up for it though, it is beautiful!
