WOUNDED
Battle scars
That no one sees,
The scars on our souls,
The wounds of our hearts,
The psychic pains
Not fully understood,
Need healing.
Ignoring the pain
Only festers the wound.
Denying the wound
Does not make it go away.
To heal our hearts,
To mend the split,
Requires that we go deep.
Into understanding,
Into consciousness,
Into acceptance
Of who we really are.
For it is in understanding
We become conscious.
It is in consciousness
We gain acceptance.
It is in acceptance
We finally heal.
And healed, we bloom.

Have you been peeping inside my soul? Down deep, where I keep my garbage can? I usually keep the lid on quite tight, but every once in a while, I loosen it a bit, and can reach in, pull out a handful of old muck, retch and dump it..........but only in small doses............ It sounds as if you may have a full bio-hazard outfit to loan.........to really dig out this stuff! Thank you for this reminder that I have serious work to do!
