Description

Horse Guards Parade is a large parade ground found next to St James's Park and is a stones throw away from Trafalgar Square, 10 Downing St, Buckingham Palace, and the Houses of Parliament. It is the site of the annual ceremonies of Trooping the Colour, which commemorates the queen's official birthday (a military pageant/ceremony performed by regiments of the Commonwealth and the British Army). You are making me home-sick again! I do believe that is the Old Admiralty Building on the left. I used to work right across the road in Whitehall and have fond memories of watching Trooping the Colour. I should stop rambling on now and say that I think this is FANTASTIC! Well done, Joe!
