Description

Here in Michigan, not only is the Robin the State bird, it is also the harbinger of spring. Its spring arrival is hopefully just around the corner. The goldfinches have returned in their winter coats so I'll try to get a good capture of one of them soon. As always, comments are appreciated.

Gorgeous capture with beautiful rich colors and perfect DOF. I cant wait for spring to come....and the 2x teleconverter i ordered, lol. Its way too cold for bird-photography here now. Besides we only got boring tits of all sorts, like bluetits and great tits....hmmmm.....i never EVER thought id say that tits are boring. LOL. Have a great weekend! #:o)

The robin is a hearty bird- here in NH there is a northern strain of these birds that winter. They feed on the red bells of the sumac and on frozen apples. I still look to the trees when one sings his comming of spring song. Excellent capture.

the red feathers are so bright. it does not seem that they are the same here. very beautiful robin and capture. for 2-3 years my sister has had an albino robin(white over red) that visits her bird bath every summer
