Description

Been working on lots of stuff lately, mainly trying to figure out lighting and shadows in DAZ (couldn't figure out how to get shadows in DAZ to be honest... until I hit on it by accident). I've also been working on some props for DAZ/Poser (the Iguana Battle Armor in the picture is mine, I just haven't prepared it for uploading. If there is enough interest, I'm going to put it in my Freebies, along with some more pieces I'm working on to go with it). Anywho, now that I have experimented with doing shadows, (tho I'm still not wholly satisfied with results), I might redo some of my earlier work and upload them again... haven't decided. That's one hell of a critter your have got yourslf there...It's fantastic !!! 2) The image itself is awesome and superbly created !!! Smashing compo !!! 3) A neat trick to get the shadows right is trying to figure out th right pse of the camera for the final view you want...then write down the camera angles and then start changing the view by using the most versatile angle changer (up down, left and right turn), stop when your have the correct angle and then zoom out a few times to create a distance between the light and the objects...Then instead of just creating the light at standard pos just use the option below that one...create light at viewpoint...and voila...You will end up with the perfect shadow...Then you only have to slect the light and change some of the values in the properties such as intensity, shadow quality, smoothness and color... I hope this helps you a bit...it's maybe a bit complex to read this but actually is more easier to do yourself then you think...

yep like you I didnt know how to get the shadows to work. Must of been 3 renders in before I relized how to do it :-]) A wondeful peice,lighing is perfect as is the shadow
