Je länger man malt, desto mehr ist man Lehrling The longer you paint the more you are an apprentice.

Brief introduction: SaintFox is
-a woman born 1962 at the north sea coast of Germany.
-moved to the german midwest in 1996
-to a small town that offers a lot of medieval inspiration
-has at least two souls
...and about the nick: It's a mixture of my haircolor and a tattooed fox cub that I wear and that looks so saintly as a vegetarian. As long as I can think I enjoyed being creative - and I always loved learning something new! As I had my first look here I so much wanted to do images like the ones I saw in the gallery. But it took me several years to be brave enough to post my first image here. After all I do not understand anymore what made me hesitate so long... I'm a professional artist/illustrator, not at least because of the permanent encouragement of the "Captain of my heart", he's my muse, my secretary, my "wonderwall" against those things that are able to disturb creative processes so easily. Most of my work is published by a german gallery in Gelsenkirchen and available at my own homepage, too. In late 2005 I wask asked for my first collaborated works and so I finally found a second profession in doing my own characters and textures what enables me to give my images even more personal style.
Whenever I start to work on something new - especially when working with characters - there is a moment when the bundle of polygons and pixels suddenly seems to look at me from the other side of the monitor, it's the moment when my creations get personality. This is, at least, what I like to "transport" with my products: artist tools that are able to inspire the people that work with them because they have a kind of "virtual soul".
A woman under influence
Major influences on my work come from other admired artists and music. Some of my favorites: Jan Vermeer van Delft James Jaques Tissot Rembrandt van Rijn Hajime Sorayama Olivia De Berardinis Marcus Gray Herb Ritts Helmut Newton Alberto Vargas Ricky Carralero Gerald Brom ...and, regarding the feelings that I have when doing my characters: Dr. Viktor Frankenstein! Music: Too much to count, alternative and classics preferred but sometimes it has to be soul or jazz, too. The second large influence are people I met here: They comment on my images and help me to enhance them, they share their knowledge and finally some of them decided to involve me in their projects. For me (as I grew up in the before-internet-age) it's still some kind of miracle that people are able to work together independent of where they live.
...and, before I forget, the strongest influence during the last years came from some lines I read about 15 years ago:
Beauty is an experience, nothing else. It is not a fixed pattern or an arrangement of features. It is something felt, a glow or a communicated sense of fineness. What ails us is that our sense of beauty is so bruised and blunted, we miss all the best.
D.H. Lawrence

PsychoNaut
Hey Foxy! I don't know how you got Miki's (wearing Nubya's yummy skin) into that pose with it lookin' good. I'll spend too long posing that body, and I give up. I'm glad you got it out, cuz it's ah verah nice!! How many balls in a pool game... 365? :D
jwiest
Fantastic! Though I despair that the series is nearly done. :( Unless I can join with PsychoNaut to convince you there's more than 15 in the game. LOL
HADCANCER
Nicely done. Bravo! It is a tribute to get done what is in your minds eye as a sufferer of technical dysfunction (TD) I can appreciate when one finally scores.
Fredy
Excellent! I heard of very special poolgames going up to ball number 99... Just a hint... ;) ;) ;)

Dear Meike, Im almost half way finished with the Citation stuff! Because of the computer problems this morning, I ended up doing an evening session to catch up. Saturday is going to be a light day and on Sunday I dont have anything scheduled. Im gonna use the time to do some more studying and to maybe take a couple of naps to catch up on sleep!! Next week is really going to be the crunch time! Im gonna have to go back to work to rest up from my vacation!!!! After getting powered sugar on my keyboard this morning while eating French toast I was surprised that it still worked!!! Ill have our long suffering IT guys look it over when I get back home. It certainly wont be as bad as the time I dumped in a bottle of nail polish!!!!! Whoops!!!!! ;-) While Im on vacation and doing pilot training, Im going to need to continue doing a lot of cut and pasting with just a tiny little real comment added!! Im really sorry, but I just dont have much time right now to write my usual wacko stuff! Ill be back on March 3rd!! Chocolate??? Chocolate??? Did someone say chocolate??? Where where where????? ;-) Yeah - chocolate kind of gets my motor running!!! I laid in a good supply as soon as I gto checked into the hotel here!!!! Super job with all the texturing - it really looks super!!!! Great combo of colors, too!!! The pool balls really do look real!!!! I know what you mean about having an image in mind!! Actually, I have the story first - then the image - and then finally trying to make it happen!!! Super job and a great addition to the set!!!! Love ya!!! Meredith

She still is such a beauty- and here she looks appetizing as an orange fruit ^^ Her expression makes you wonder what she will do with the ball when you leave the view- really another great one! Now I am curious what you will do with the last Number- 15 :O)

Something about the texture and color that seems to compliment each other so well. It reminds I actually own the Nubya texture but I have yet to use it.
