Not at all Matt, we are brave when we remain determined against the challenge of obstacles trying to stop us reaching our aim in living.

Yeah but how many of us really try thesedays Garlor...really? state of things today proves that in so many ways. Interesting question you posed in this as its open to so many angels :) And all of that aside and looking to the photo, very nicely done

Belle photo et belle pose ! Superbe...

I must agree with SomethingStrange. I believe we have lost our bravery in some areas .. and lost or honor in almost all other areas. Nice picture.

As a martial artist I'd suggest that real bravery has nothing to do with swords or combat. There are plenty of places to be brave in this life, even in the 21st century. Standing up and refusing to let the government push you around is brave, standing up for someone who is being bullied or downtrodden is brave, saying what is in your heart when everyone else is playing bobble head and agreeing is brave. Not all risk is in combat. In my experience the first requirement of any martial art is to have the courage to stand in the place where you can be hit, that is to take the risk.

I agree with you, therapier, we can be brave without using any weapon ; this image was just here to create a feeling of "old" bravery. But I think that the bravery that you mention is also disapearing nowadays... Thank you for all your comments !

. . Bonne question, bel autoportrait et excellente compo !
