At the Stand
(by east window)
stare at the blank page painting your picture
as I continue stringing my instrument
thinking
unstringing my soul
while the sirens' songs unwind
and the brushes wait
caught in the reflection
the procession

through quiet vistas

as you move along
reaching for resin
I ask myself:
"...and let her go?
set her free from my heart...??"
