Started my first fractaling with Sterling; found so many free programs out there that I was trying so many for awhile. Finally decided that Sterling and Fractal Explorer offered the easiest and best capabilities for someone like me who knew nothing about formulae or fractals. This must have been around 1994 or 95; somewhere in there.
Now I'm hooked on UF and am still trying to get a handle on Apo; also still looking for the odd, free fractal software to add to my collection to practice on (someday).
When I first came to Rendo, I knew next to nothing, but the encouragement and support here is wonderful and inspiring. There are so many really good fractalists here that there is a whole lot to aspire to. Thanks for all your kind comments and support!

Splendid classic illustration of the concept 'fractal'? This should be the ideal illustration in a high school math book! Excellent!

Absolutely stunning. Maybe it took 30 hours because of the beautiful math complexity to create this image was a huge equation? I dunno, but I like it. Thank you for being so patient so you could share it with us. Bunny

Thank you all for your kind comments! I feel like such an idiot for being so frustrated by the render time of this one; I've just never had one take even half this long, but I'm sure many of you have rendered some that's taken even longer; just experience, I guess. :-) It did have a lot of layers, 9, and one of them was the infamous fBm trap. Could that have been the difference? It was just so beautiful to me that I wanted to have it in graphic format. Thanks again for your input.
