YEA! I GOT IT TODAY!!!!!! I hooked it up all by myself. It has a lot of things straight from Dell that want to run at the same time. I was going to post this message to you on the weekend, but my brother's #&)@(*#& laptop didn't have a usb for my little flash drive thingy. I have a lot to do now. I only had this really, really old computer that didn't hook up to the internet. ): All my programs have to be installed on this computer. I only made a couple fractals. The message on this post is completely true. Oh, yes, it came with a keyboard and mouse. I'm so excited to be online. The weird thing is that the 'picture' on the monitor is off to the right a little. I have no idea how to fix that, but with this new Vista everything looks weird anyway, so I'm only missing a tiny bit on the right. I can't start commenting yet. I have a zillion things to do, but I want to thank all of you that wrote me emails and imessages. It's been so hard. My house is cleaner than ever! lol q-: It will be a while before I can get my cool pics off my other slave drive, so meantime I'll be creating with none of my cool gradients and fun discoveries. So it will be a little dull until I get my good WIP's. Bye for now! Congrats on getting your new computer! That's marvelous news. I know all too well how difficult it is to get programs from an old computer working on a new one...and you have Vista so some might not work. But you're on the way, and I was thrilled to see you'd been able to post something. It sounds like a great computer. Enjoy it; before you know it, you'll be able to get back to making your gorgeous fractals again. I'm anxiously awaiting!

I am very happy for your comeback CArol, very as much as you. My micro computer occupies me approximately 10 hours per day, and I do not conceive my life today without creating... I congratulate you to return (modestly for today) among us... Internet has this of extraordinary it is that one can see there what one wants... and the magic of your images always enchants my days. Carol cheer, in less than one week (one century for you), as envisaged, you are there! Once again beautiful and good return among us!!!

Welcome back, Carol! I'm jazzed for you! Sometimes you have to go into 'settings' and set the reslution..and sometimes it's just a matter of shutting down and bringing it up again; has happened to me a couple of times in the past. Cool design and I love the texture.

Yippeee!! Carol's back!! I am SOOO excited for you, a brand new computer!! And finally you can create again! You've been so brave these last weeks without a computer! I would have collapsed in tears. Oh .. did you check and see that the monitor is adjusted right? You might have to do some adjusting there to line up the picture right. And the old programs might run okay .. I just read that Vista has a "compatability mode" that makes it play nice with some older programs. Supposed to be a really great version of Windows. Hope it's true and that it behaves better then expected for you! And I do love that very organic design you posted!
