It does feel like it was painted by a Dutch Master...and light adds a bit of warmth to it's otherwise cold aspects. Lovely!

It's so neat that they would plant new trees on these little islands of land. A very beautiful shot of the clouds and old and new trees. A encouraging photo.

As usual, interesting. Beautiful would be perhaps exaggerated in this case, because there is something unhealthy along the sandy banks, although the word unhealthy is also exaggerated. I hope that you are feeling the nuance It is not completely natural. The autumnal red of the bare trees is mixing with the grey of the cloudy sky, as rust with a steely color. The city on the other bank, which I suppose to be this fascinating Regensburg, is fare from being superb in this perspective. It seems rather scaled-down and that, not only by a distance effect. And this small cubic building, like a bunker half-hidden in the bushes, is hugely. And the path in the grass which looks like a worn-out baize by the wheel marks. All that is vaguely ambiguous as is often the reality and is tending to prove the originality of your vision, which does not need to adorn things in order to make them interesting. Your whirpool stays at the top of my few favorits images. Without exageration, I think that it is the most beautiful, the most interesting and poetic photograph, not only of this site, but which I saw since years. You should be awarded for it.

It certainly feels like a old master painting from the 17th century. Your work is always consistant and good. You certainly have a style that is all your own. Egmont

Your landscapes are always fascinating, be it bare tree winters or very foggy days. I hope this one you might revisit when trees have leaves. Thanks for sharing.
