Description

Iran's Bronze Age site of Shahr-e Sukhteh, the Burnt City, has already produced the world's oldest dice, among other amazing finds. The latest is an artificial eyeball still in the socket of a middle-aged woman who died 4,800 years ago. The prosthetic has fine capillaries and a pupil etched on it, as well as holes to secure it in place. More Indepth please read: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/article1415400.ece When I read this I was fascinated and wondered what this woman could have looked like in life. This is a very fanciful idea, but she must have een extremely striking to see in her day.

Very freaky to think about. Your woman is beautiful and I bet much prettier than the original. This image really makes you think!

Great idea and wonderfully executed! This eyeball is fabulous! Isn't it astonishing again and again what our early ancestors were capable of?
