I like the m ix of old with new. This viewpoint is quite spectacular. For a distant view the colours worked well.

Russian architects definitely do not, "do it with mirrors" nor do they make whimsical shapes. There is more the directorial instituitonality of Naploleonic Paris mixed with a bigger, taller geometric fan. This city has been shelled and bombed from the air as recently as Boris Yeltsin's occupation of the parliament and the tank shell holes in it's facade. Fitting to a revolution.
