Description
She was born Seraphine Arianna Florinda, the Princess of Archisere. She had always been a willful child, strong and self-reliant. But if anyone had told the King and Queen, that one day, the daughter they raised to be a prim and proper lady would flee the confines of her royal, pampered life, in exchange for the adventures and dangers of the road, they would have had them laughed right out of the kingdom. However as the years progressed, and the headstrong little girl slowly became a woman, they watched with increasing unease.
At the age of 9, instead of playing with dolls, little Sera preferred to play with her older brother

I second all the praise above. I love the level of detail in the background, like the cat up outside the window. There is great depth in the scene, but it seems to stem from lighting more than from focus. The guy in red (Danov?) looks increasingly like a cut-out from the hips up (to me, that is).

The king was right dammit!! Princesses should stay at home (and preferably in mine), not get around playing with swords!! Don't they know they could hurt themselves or the others by doing so?!?! shakes missing left finger ... erm... >.> A very well done pic - apart from the excellent choice of POV and the clarity of the render, it's very detailed and well disposed for creating not just an "abstract" fantasy, but a real scene that fits well in the underlying story... great work! :)
