Description

I just got back from my annual Death Valley trip. Had a great time, but the weather was so so. Two days of cold and two days of nice, one really windy! We did some new exploring and some old familar, so I will post a few of the really unique ones. This was a wash off of Painter's Pallet. It wasn't quite sunset yet, but some clouds were moving in and it made for some interesting lighting. I enhanced the green in the bush and just a little of the darker browns, but the rest of it is what you actually see there. If you've never been to Death Valley, you really need to see it in person, because it is just amazing!

The first thing that strikes me is the contrasting name for such a wonderful vista, perfect in every way and yet I can see the harshness of it all. Wonderfully composed and captured.

I like the depth captured in that little creek.So clear it seems one could reach in and touch it. The more I stare at this it keeps getting better. Good work. Nice seeing your uploads.
