Description

AlooooooHa! Evening/Morning all!! Cruising home from my parents house last week I stopped to shoot this amazing cloud as the sun started coming up. After I looked at it on my puter I realized that I had inadvertently caught a whale splash. It's that small little white spot near the center. It's the whale season here in Hawaii and last week they had over 600 volunteers around the state counting whales. Here's my count...."One". I've seen three whales during this season on my recent outings, but like this one they were too far to get a decent shot. But I am always vigilant...wish me luck. Aloha everyone and keep shooting. I see much improvement in every ones images, "Attaboys" all around...Cya~

Nice scene Dave. As far as whales go, I see them jumping every day from my parlor. Some are BIG and some are small. But, as you say, a little too far for a decent shot. When I get the camera ready, they stop.....I think they are camera shy. Aloha

LOL@Whale Count. Such a powerful capture of the weather and the timing was perfect. The rain is still pouring and left some flooding all around. Lucky whale, he's not worried about getting wet. Excellent shot. (I'm up to #2 whales).

Great shot of the squall, and the whale is just icing. Save some for me.

This scene would be worth a flight over there just to take. One of the things that says miracles of nature more than any other. Excellent.
