It's hard to believe they're the same place...the mud does add some extra color and texture to the water.

What a difference. This is great though. The rivers do what they want.

Interesting shot, usually you picture waterfalls as always being clean and white, so this adds a new perspective....and makes me want to stay clear of falling in the water.

Dear Errol, It's amazing how it can change - and probably in virtually no time!!! This picture I took of Perdenalis Falls in Texas is like that - beautiful clear blue water and then in almost seconds can change into a huge muddy torrent thirty feet deep. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1340306&member This is really dynamic - while the previous picture shows the beauty of the falls, this one shows its more sinister side!!!!!!!! I hope you were some place safe whne you took this!! Water like that is nothing to mess with!! I almost drown in a flash flood back in college!!!!! Excellent photograph!!!!!! This afternoon is the big moment - going for my checkride in the Citation X!!! Woo-Hoo!!!! (I love the smell of jet fuel!!!!!!!!) Actually, that might be a good time for everyone to take cover while a wacko blond is punching hole in the sky!!! Of course, Ill mostly be around Wichita, Kansas, so most folks are probably pretty safe - and Ill be on the short leash of a flight examiner! However, I did think it was pretty tacky of the insurance folks to cancel the insurance of everyone in Kansas for the duration of my flight!!! ;-) What a bunch of creeps!!!! Ill be back sometime tomorrow - still trying to figure out how Im gonna get back to San Antonio, Texas to pick up my car so I can then drive back to Houston!! Unfortunately I dont get to take the Citation X home as a souvenir!!!!! Darn!!!! (And yes, I did ask!!!!!) ;-) Love ya!!! Meredith Meredith Elaine Wilson - MeredithLand

I love the muddy falls! It really tells you the power of the water and the huge amount that is coming down that river. Wow. Great shot.

What a difference between the two images (though the first is a long long way from a yawn!!). Great example of the - sometimes - frightening power of nature.

A superb capture, Errol. . . The raw power of nature is incredible. Think I would like it best on a quieter day :-) Aloha. Diane.

The mud does make interesting streaks of color in the falls. I think it is a very unique waterfall capture!
