Description
Sigma 105mm Macro ;)
Went for a walk along a nearby (had to drive to get there) beach today with my mate and her dog Ollie. SPANIEL! so yeah, i've always wanted to take this type of action shot so thought i would share it with you dog lovers out there. It wasnt perfect conditions for such a shot (being overcast and all) but i survived on ISO 640 and the lens wide open :)
A little break from the norm but it was fun nonetheless. I'm not an animal lover myself but have known ollie since he was about half the size of your screen, so he is an exception =D
Now i just need to get that one where he is running through the wash on the shoreline... another day maybe.

Never been a fan of Sigma lenses but I guess a rethink is in order. Great bokeh with the lense wide open!

Now you see, I can't comment on the technical stuff 'cos it's all gobledy gook to me, but as for the photo itself as an image..... well I think it's great! I am an animal lover, preferrably cats, but any animal and I turn to goo and I think Ollie is lovely! When I've tried shots like this with my border collie, they always end up blurred or too distant etc. So in my book, this is a 10/10! x
