Description
Simulating water droplets on glass with shaders. Both the table glass and the vase are a single material, using procedural displacement for the water drops.

Amazing work! I haven't read the article yet, so if its in there, please excuse... but... how difficult would it be to get the water droplets to be confined to a smaller area on the glass? To give the illusion of spilled water. Just curious! This is beyond fantastic - again, amazing! ;D
