To begin my name is Vincent Brown. live in San Francisco, California. I grow up in the San Fernando Valley in the Los Angeles area.
I moved to the SF bay area in the early 90's in the hope of attending art school. I was planning to study industrial design. Unfortunately for me a recession hit the US in the early ninety's. So my schooling was put on hold. I was never able to get back to it. However, throughout the decade I managed to work on my design skills by picking odd graphic jobs here and there. By the end of the ninety's I was working as a full time videographer. Still keeping my hand in graphics.
About that time I was doing some graphics for a friend who wanted me to add some 3D to the work I was doing. I was given a copy of Bryce from a friend that was a game developer and some how was connected to the 2.0 development team of Bryce. I had to teach myself the program. It didn't come with any manuals. I learned enough to finish the project. But that was it I was hooked on the 3D environment.
Working as a videographer by day while at night on my Bryce skills. Someone called it "Making worlds."
So where am I now? At present I am continuing to work on my 3D skill set. Learning Poser, Wings3D and DAZ Studio and most resently Hexagon. I still have a lot to learn. I hope to acquire knowledge of other programs as time allows. My hope is to someday work as a 3D illustrator. I'm working on it.
I hope you enjoy my gallery.

Very excellent work. bravo

It does look very Chriss Foss. Even the weapon's colors. Well done!

Clouds and smoke are very difficult to get right in Bryce. I would consider rendering in coposited layers and add the smoke with Gimp or PS. I like Mr. Foss's work as well. A real futurist genius! How did you create the patrol vehicle? It just looks too good to be made out of Bryce booleans... LOL. Cheers on a good render.

Perfect tribute to Chris Foss! You are a master (and I'm shure that we both have the same age)!

Very well realised - it is so evident how much you have learnt from studying work with strong qualities.

Wow!! Can't believe I didn't see this before! I am a huge Chris Foss fan as well and this is an excellent rendition of one of his works! Thats a tricky craft to model - great work! Cool mats as well. The Foss-style signature is a nice touch too!

Wow !!! I'm the lucky owner of a copy of the book "21ST CENTURY FOSS" (french edition, 1978) and this illustration is one of my favorites - You did a fantastic modeling but IMHO, you would have to respect the original format and show more backgound... Ad why not try to do the light effects and other smoke and dust enhancement using Photoshop ? BTW you gallery is full of great stuff !
