Hi, welcome to my renderosity homepage. For me, rendering is a hobby and as such my renders may not be of the caliber of some of the other wonderful (real) artists on this site. That said, I try my best and try to learn more whenever possible.
A look at my gallery will reveal a good deal of sci-fi pin up posts (to put it politely). There is of course much more to me than that sort of thing, lets just say that poser has had a tendency to lead me in that direction when expressing myself through rendering. Yes, that's the story i'm sticking to! When I started out here I rarely did postwork and knew nothing of rendering. Since then i've picked up some tricks for poser and photoshop. You can see the progress in each gallery post, which is why I like to keep all my gallery posts, good bad or ugly, as a record of just how much i've learned. Why did I get into rendering? well one day I stumbled on to Wyrmmasters homepage. From there I found renderosity, got poser, etc.. All in all however, all that I want is that people who wish it may view, comment on, and most of all enjoy the fruits of my labour when it comes to rendering. For allowing a fourm in which I can satisfy the drop of artisitc creativity in me, I am most grateful to the Renderosity staff and community.

I'm still looking for the "joy" part... Is it in her hand? Does she got a good movie she's going to go watch? I bet she wants to go watch that scene Capt Kirk was in... the one where he keeps kicking the Klingon in the head and says: "I... have had... enough... of YOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!" That's gotta be up in the top 3 favorite scenes of Star Trek for me. Your picture looks just like the newer Star Trek... I'm old fashion. I didn't care for the newer shows. I think it's because the old show was just toooo good and colorful. They were going places. Whenever I sat down to watch the next generation, they never left their ship and the colors were so drab - turn off.

Hmmm...Maybe not all the excitement of a red alert but still a nice scene and there is always the possibility of an encounter by one of her many 'pursuers'. :)

Lol, someone has to do the grunt work :) Perfect posing for the job!!!

hmm... that's eerily familiar to our 'armed forces' adds we see on TV. They show all these great things you could be doing and yet, everyone I have ever known that went into some branch of service says those commercials are false... oh well, they gotta hook ya somehow :P looks great, nice change from star wars.

Fantastic work combining these elements together into the final image- and the spots you created for the texture map are perfect! Very cool!

Tell it like it really is ? I bet this would be enough to drive anyone to the holodeck for a break...check, re-check...check...Kool sci-fi Pete ! ~Cheers~

Really nice image!!! Well done!!!

This is a pretty fine piece and your right there have to moments in the Star Trek Universe that just seem like boring mudane tasks for ensigns and other low ranking officers.
MongusKing
Great compo my friend!!! Love her expression!!!! XCellent!!!!

Great work
cruzin
wonderfully done!

The simple joys of a young officer lol very, very good idea! I remember to have quit becoming a Trekkie when this obnoxious young Ensingn - I refuse to remember his name - took over and Captain Picard had to look old and spent... That here's the right task for young people. Yes it is!

Great Star Trek mood and view!!! Wonderful scene and presentation!!!

Dear Pete, Yep, someone has got to keep the infrastructure going!!! Even Star Trek boils down to routine at times. Some of the ex-Navy guys were talking about space travel one day. I suspect from their comments that an extended flight would be a lot like life aboard one of our submarines. I'm not sure I'd like be cooped up that long!!!! Suepr job with the set and props!! I don't know about the pad - it wouldn't be the first time that Poser has done some weird stuff with textures!!! Great pose and super job creating our hard working Ensign!!!! A quick update - I passed my checkride on the Citation X!!!! WOO-HOO!!!!!!! But I had a REALLY crummy trip home. I got a ride on a CJ2 to Addison (Dallas) but then couldnt get to San Antonio. My stupid flight manuals were the problem! Southwest wanted a LOT of money to carry them as they were WAY over the baggage allowance!!! I finally got a ride in a Lear back to SA. To find a dead car battery - and then drove 200 miles back to Houston!!! Its been a LONG two days!!!!! Ill be catching up on stuff at Renderosity the rest of the weekend!!!!!!! Love ya!!! Meredith

WOW..VERY NICE WORK..

Oh, come on now... you know as well as I do that she'd be so bored with that job that she'd do it in the nude, covered with oil... Well, despite the elements that are missing, it's a good picture anyway. ;)
