Incredible shots here jock. Give us so much the mood of this ruined place.. I can read that Gosvenor Leche went to prison.. This now will be a great place for wildlife. Undisturbed in the ruins by humankind. Wonderful work here. I really like this place, this archway though to the trees. Have a blessed Sunday. Hugs. Di.

Very sad as I'm a golf fanatic and because a lot of money must have been spent to get as far as it did.....the people's money, I'm sure. Love the history here!

I thought it looked like ruins. Hope the animals are now finding a home in all the nooks and crannies of this structure. A unique post, thanks for sharing the info of this structure from the infamous Huey Long era.

Excellent collage of what looks like a golf house for plantation owners during the Civil War. Wow, talk about deterioration! Nature reclaiming its own. I assume you can still hear the ghostly echoes of "fore!" nearby. Neat job, Jocko!

A beautiful serene place where the posting of rules jars the mood. does the sign deter? Does it add to the enjoyment of the park as it purports to? For the police minded, I suppose. Tutt! tutt!!
