Description
Was experimenting with shaping the pages of a book into a heart. Problem was that i wasn't able to get any closer with my lense to get a really good composition, so i had to crop the image. I think if i had been able to focus at a shorter distance the image would have been nicer.

Does your camera have a Macro or Close Up setting? It is sometimes represented with a "flower" icon. That should allow you to get closer.

i think the shot/view u got is great but i would've suggested placing a white background to block out the busy, distracting background as well as adding some defused light from a desk lamp for that extra zing.

I do like the DOF. Maybe you didn't get the effect desired, but more experimenting will do that. Good idea.
