BIO
I'm an elderly Englishwoman with a Bachelor's Degree in English Lit/Linguistics and a lifelong interest in art, especially computer-generated graphics.
In addition to my artistic efforts, I sing (anything from blues to opera) and, depending on what I'm singing, I perform in all sorts of venues from nursing homes to cathedrals. Besides Renderosity, I belong to a couple of photography groups on Facebook and also have my own Facebook page.
I'm now happily retired and have plenty of time to indulge my hobby of photography.

I think it's a pretty fern.

if you have PSP they have a function to export as a jpg or other types. you decrease the number until you can judge what works the best. I am sure PS has the same function.in PSP you can find it under the file tab. very beautiful flame and the user of Apophysis has many variables so you should claim as your own.

Thanks to both of you :). I've got PSP7 and that's what I used to compress the picture, but I had to use quite a high value. I'm just wondering how other people get large pictures which are still lovely and clear AND are less than 15kb.

Lovely fern! Your uploaded pic can be up to 500k. Only thumbnails need be 15k or below. Renderosity will create a thumbnail for you if you do not want to upload one. Hope this helps! :)

Aaaaahh. Thanks PhotoAntics. I've been trying desperately to cram ALL my photos to below 15k with the result you see above. I wonder if I can edit it so I can post the original instead of the compressed .jpg or whether it's too late now.

Now that is looking fabulous Caroline! I think you are catching on! :)You can always go back and edit an upload image as much as you want (as long as it is in edit mode and within the upload parameters! :)

Thanks :). Now I know I can edit my pictures and that the upper size limit on the actual pictures is much larger than I thought, I'll replace a few more. One of the comments for "Crane" is that it would look much better in a larger size because many of the details were lost with reduction.
