Description


The USS Texas shows off her forward battery of four 14 inch guns. 14 inchers were common battleship armament during World War I. The Texas was launched in 1914. There are two more views of this fine old gal on page 7 of my gallery.

just a bit down from the San Jacinto monument...been there many years ago..we have the USS NC, but it's Iowa class, a lot more recent. Great pic, brings back memories.

I visited this ship but it was raining and cold weather so I did not get any shots. excellent pov. there is another war ship on display at Mobile that is an awesome experience
