A mature and classic composition. Framing the female figure posed in "Contrapposto" is a play of geometric architectual elements. The warm brown and grey of the stone sets up the viewer's eye for the dramatic red of the chair cushion. "The Violaceous Mage"....More than just violet tinted armor, she is rather the 14th century Anglicization of a magician of nature........Always a pleasure to view Nick.
