Description

An old image in new shape. From the beginning it was a very old photo of a bride (you know these old thick photos from long ago) In those times brides were dressed in black. She seems not very happy, so I played around with her In FilterForge Thanks for looking. LOL, tomorrow i guess I will try to parcipitate a little more actively. in any case I have to allow comments, because it will be an anniversary. Tomorrow I will post my image number 1000, and I have no idea of what it will be :-)

Yes, I am familiar with those old images, own a few myself of long deceased relatives in Denmark. This image evokes a lot emotions. Her expressions seems very hopeless as if looking at her future life with a perspective of imprisonment. I am sure that was the case for many brides at that time. Better to be married to whomever and without love than being a lonely spinster. Marriage in those days was a matter of survival and acceptance I believe. Congratulations with your 1000th image. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Hugs, Tutte

999th picture! That can be almost more interesting and fascinating than the 1000th - 999 is somehow still incomplete... there are only the biggest numbers... This image nr 999 is wonderful! It has lots of emotions, lots of freedom for interpretations; it has a melancholic basis but I can see there some hint of a smile... maybe the years after this shot made that feature of empathy? Vey beautiful work Gun! Congrats for this 999th image!!!! Can't wait for tomorrow...

Wow! Another I missed. This one makes me think the bride was marrying someone in an arranged marriage. Maybe there was a good reason she didn't look very happy. Bad teeth could be another reason. lol Really nice outcome and use of FilterForge. Hugs, my dear. x:)
