I am a 45 year old male from Texas. I love the outdoors and everything to do with them. From hunting and fishing to camping and just sitting and enjoying a sunset. I do some writing and that was my first outlet for my creativity. However recently through the urging of someone who is very special to me I began to work on trying to capture some of the amazing images which are presented to me here in Texas. I am still trying to learn the nuances of my camera and some of the tricks which can be used to produce some beautiful images.
I use a nikon coolpix p2 camera.

I live in Texas but have not seen any redbuds yet.... among my very favorite spring blossoms and a sure sign that spring is here! Love this sunny composition with bright saturated colors!

Spring is definitely my favorite time of the year. In my humble opinion I think that is when Texas is at its grandest. All dressed up in a wide variety of colors. Currently it is our redbuds, dogwoods and fruit trees which are blooming. The azaleas are beginning to peak out of the dark green shrubbery and soon the ground will be ablaze in a wide variety of colors. I thank you all for your wonderful comments. I felt really good about this picture and I have since bought me a tripod and am learning the time delay feature on my camera so I can take out even more shake.

I've missed some of your captures after the first one and I was able to catch the rest of these today. Therefore, I wanted to let you know you have a great talent and I'm glad you decided to continue pursuing it, because it is an excellent viewing pleasure. Memphis is starting to get a few blooms here also, and I think it will be in full force this year once the weather quits flopping back and forth, lol. I look forward to your next post. :))
