Already the darkness of night was fading as the first hint of dawn crept over the horizon casting a foggy and eerie appearance over the Island. I nodded in satisfaction as I stood on the balcony of my east tower and watched as the coming of dawn approached from the east. The signs and portents of ill favor did not seem to be present, and I smiled.
