Dear Gary, This is really lovely and is so steeped in history!! One of the things I love about Europe is that people do KNOW the history about things!! Everything here in the Americas is either new, or else the history of it remains a mystery. Some of my family came from Europe in the 1800's - some had been here for 13,000 years and met the boats!! My great grandmother was full blooded Shoshone!! I'm not only Meredith Elaine Wilson, I'm also Sun Haired Talking Fawn!!! But unlike the remains of this beautiful old cathedral, they left few remants of their passing - and those that remain are shrouded in uncertainty!!! Excellent photograph!!!! Love ya!!! Sad to see the state of such building but it does display great character and mood when under stress.

"Keys available locally"........for what exactly? doesent look like a place to keep stuff. Like your history postings, funny dont think of Oliver Cromwell having much activity in Scotland.
