Ah .. but the dance between the earth and the sun is a delicate balance .. Would an Alien see the earth and the sun this way? The earth emanates a lot of heat, but not as much as the sun. Yet if aliens were on the far side of the planet, looking past it toward the sun, perhaps they would see the thermal images like this .. as a snake "sees" at night, images of heat, rather then visual images. Just my imagination wandering off again. The image is beautiful .. warm and bright and inviting
