I love the look of the silverish pewter like color with the blue! It pulls everything together so nicely, and yes.. it does look stormy, but beautifully so!

You placed the larger part of center of the maelstrom just outside the image. That vortex looks mean, it will pull everything in. Is it already too late to escape it? The greys that you've used add a sense of drama to the image. I like it.
