hi, interesting idea, bu IMHO, many things to do : first the ligth from fire... i can't see it... maybe you can add some littlhe yellow omni light from each fire... second, the resolution of the cave : tessellate it and add more polygons, finnaly use a radiosity algorithm or a render like mental ray...
