It might claim to be shy, but it looks strong and brave in the sun. It is a beautiful close up of the flower, however.

Where I used to live, we had these scattered through the lawn. We also had them in white with purple hearts, which we called 'Confederate Violets' for some unknown reason. This is a lovely portrait! Thanks for the memories. :)
