I am so pleased to be a member here at Renderosity. For me Renderosity is much more than a place to display my works. I have made many friend's here. I take so many photographs but I do not like to have my own photograph taken.. I actually like this shot. I say a huge thank you, to My Goha for postworking this shot for me. The original shot was taken up at my friend's house. He put this wonderful swing in the largest tree on his land! Iccle pushes me up so high!! The swing is over precipice, so not for the faint hearted... but such fun.. I love to be at their house and feel like a child again on this swing. I will tell you why I choose my RR name, "Rainbows". When my niece Victoria was a very little girl, she used to say to me.. Auntie DiDi "I love you, all the world and rainbows". I love her just as much as she loves me. She is older now and our love for each other is so strong. A beautiful day is wished for you all. Hugs. Diane.

What a great photo. Old structures such as this small church have such character. It makes my mind wonder what stories it could say if only it could speak. The stormy cluds above and the peaceful valley below sort of work as an approapiate symbolism for this piece. Thank you for sharing.

Excellent compo, lights and colours. And the old graves all arround this lonely church seem so quiet in such a place . . .

First of all, your description of taking this brought horrors to mind when I conjured up the image of poor SirDavid, just following surgery and recovering still, hoisting you up on his shoulders or boosting you over his head so you could get this shot. It just seemed like asking if he could move in with these "residents..." Anyway, that leads to the view here... When I look at these little, old cemeteries, I tend to see them as "isolated villages." You have the church - big and imposing, the center of things and the most important place in the village. Each headstone represents a cottage or abode. I can either feel good that this little village is packed with friendship and warmth where everyone knows their neighbor, or I can feel sad because it is so crowded and full that there is no room to raise an elbow, take a fresh breath or find privacy in your own backyard. I know... where do I get this stuff and when will I shut up...? LOL. Bottom line is this is a lovely shot. Nicely seen, well taken and full of possibilities.

This is sooo precious and charming and utterly beautiful!! There seems to be more former residents outside than would fit in the church! It's charming and a delightful shot! But please be careful when you have to climb and take risks to get a shot! :)

Almost like a dream of sorts. The contrast of beauty, sadness and hope make it almost unreal and that is a true art to capture. I think it was well worth your time and I'm so glad David was there with you. :-)
