Description
From the mire a stalk pushes upward
into a pure-white lotus;
From among the thorns
a bud unfolds into a beautiful rose;
So too from broken-worlds & frigidity
can come the incense of praise.
(Personal reflection on Habakkuk 3: 17-19)
