Description
Here you see the goft club house I posted a few days ago. I took this on a bright sunny day. I think I had it on the right setting for it was not grany at all. 50asa
The top image is scan from film as is. I did put it on contrast auto and on level auto to see what happen and nothing happen. lol.
So I did the level by hand on the bottom. I like both. the top one gives it a ghosty mood and the bootom one have more contrast and a forebody look to it.
inshaala say "I was under the impression that UV lamps emmitted UV light, and that IR film recorded IR light. Now correct me if i am wrong, but isnt UV light at completely the other end of the visible spectrum from IR light? I think you need to take either the UV lamp or the IR film back to the manufacturer and complain ;)"
This may be I never looked into it to see the range of light. Never thought about it. Just turn on the blacklight and turn off the real lights and sit in the dark and take photos. I see it had recorded the neon paint too but it is in black and white so it do not look too good. I do not even know where to look for this information lol. But thank you for the head up. I going to look into this and see what going on.
All I know is that this film was made for low lighting for spy work I do not know if it was WW1 or WW2 this was made. I know the sky will be dark and water dark too. I did take some night shots also and will post them so you see what happened.
If you like to get back lighting for your flowers shots without the sky blowed and the petals blowned as you aim up at the sky with the flower agaist the sky; this is the film to get.
I got one more roll of this film to shoot and I got ideals to use it.
thanks for the comments and looking
if you bored with these images tell me. I posting these so if some one else like to try they hand at IR film then They know what not to do.
There is many diff types of IR film I know of. Three I saw and each have a diff range that much I know. Dont ask me what the ranges are for I do not know. I have Kodak Professional High speed Infrared Film HIE black and white negative film. Oh I do have the red filter on at this time hoya filter #25A
talks about a tungsten light what every that is. lol setting on that is 125 asa lol

Ok getting there Jocko. Try to use tripod or make a camera fixed while taking a shot, will be more sharper image!

Looks like the swamp is enGOLFing the place! ;)

I think it turned out very well, I agree the bottom has more contrast. Looks like a very ghostly and eerie place in IR. Well done.

I appreciate you sharing your learning experiences. It's got me wondering about IR and UV which I have no clue, but it looks promising.

Very interesting, Jocko, and somewhat ghost-like. I like the bottom photo best. These look just like my El Dorado Park Nature Center pictures, and I didn't even use infrared film!
wawadave
yes interesting for sure!

I agree, the ghostly top one and the more foreboding darker bottom one, both kool results, but I think the spy film was more likely WW2, old WW1 film has to be really well looked after and I even doubt that film from WW2 would be available or good enough to use ? ~Cheers~

Original capture!!! Cool!!
Sekadhar
Cool as always! Interesting capture!
Valerie-Ducom
I agree with gingerlou and yes, perhaps you need to play with the contrast in these picture. But I like both because you make a real nice mood !!! :)

Well, you lost me on the technical stuff, lol! The clubhouse that I usually go into have acres of manicured lawn.....never seen one tucked away in the woods like this. Very interesting :)

@Jeff - watch it there, pal. There are plenty of "relics" around from that era that are still good enough to use! ;^) (hehe!) Cool work, Jock. That kind of film may have indeed been developed (no pun intended) for use as spy film way back when. Try shooting something that's hot, and in a darkened room. That should really bring out the IR effect.

Cool shot and effects, the bottom one looks spooky. Great work experimenting, keep it up!!
