This is really beautifully done! When I was a child we had a painting done on the darkest chocolate brown velvet you can imagine. It was a portrait of a black woman with her skin lit like you've done in this image has and eyes as bright as this. It was always one of my favourites and this image immediately reminded me of it. :)
