The Class 158 is a 2-car express diesel unit, with sliding doors, airline seats, and tables. This very versatile unit can be seen operating services in every part of the country, from Scotland to Cornwall. This Class is divided into a range of sub-classes with various modifications to the interior of the units. However, the TransPennine Express 17 Units Numbered 158798 - 814 consist of 3-cars, for TransPennine duties. South West Trains also had a fleet of 3-car units, but these were modified, and re-classified as the Class 159, although they never carried passengers as Class 158
